This is a variant cover I did for “The Amazing World of Gumball,” published by Boom! Studios. As with my “Bravest Warriors” cover, I only found out my “Gumball” cover will be published in October (apparently). It’s a retailer incentive cover for issue #5. I’m not sure which retailer, I really need to ask the folks at Boom for details.
Anyway, I’m glad I can finally show this because I am really, really pleased with how this came out!!! They asked for something mixed media, so I went for something sort of like a classical painting. I tried a new painting method in Photoshop to make it happen, and I think it’s largely a success. I hope that you like it, too!
You guys might recognize some of the thumbnails and a preview from a post awhile back… here’s the finished piece! :D
Done for the charity artbook Memorieal which recently gave us the go-ahead to upload the illustrations we did earlier this year. As a kid I had a flying/gliding bear species based off this stuffed animal (I named them “Pinky Bears” since I was an original precious snowflake). They were the mortal enemies of eagles, and they primarily ate fish — which they stored underground in burrows. Since that’s what bears do.
Is this one about to grab one or shake its fin? WE MAY NEVER KNOW.
The senior film’s gotten a bit of an overhaul in the past month or so. Fen’s still the focus but these concepts are of the new co-star. The top left is what I’m leaning towards!
I played a lot of Superstar Saga today, so I thought I’d do a quick animation of my favorite Mario villains before sleep! Cackletta is the bomb.
Some style exploration from last year for something that unfortunately didn’t go forward.
For the past few months I’ve had the hyenas from The Lion King on my mind so I decided to humanize them in an outfit other than leather… I guess it works? Here’s Shenzi! I’ll do Banzai and Ed soon too!
Colored ink experiments. I think I am going to do a short comic two toned like this. #sketch

Hold on to your stuffing, it’s time to fight back!
Magic Bunny rallying his plush troops! Wanted to make a new business card illustration, really wanted it to look like a mini print and something that people would want to put up on their wall :D I’m really happy with how this came out!
Then I decided to make a little gif of the pic too!
Edit: sorry I edited this post like 10 times just now, the gif compression is giving me problems.
Doodles from several weeks ago. Promised to post ‘em over here.
What if these guys were more badass? I think it’d be pretty rad. I might finish one of these later on. Who knows.
